About Singalandapuram
Singalandapuram is a small village/hamlet in Turaiyur Taluk in Tiruchirappalli District of Tamil Nadu State, India. It is located 46 KM towards North from District head quarters Tiruchirapalli. 325 KM from State capital Chennai.
You can reach this village by getting bus in nochium bus stop,trichy junction,thuraiyur bus stand, mainguard gate bus stand.By, asking ticket for kallipatti village bus stop get down there and walk few more miles to reach singalandapuram.It takes 20 minutes to reach kalipatti village bus stand from thuraiyur bus stand.Even auto are available from thuraiyur bus stand..It has having chinna aeri(small lake) and peria aeri(large lake). During rainy season when the water fills the peria aeri means the water comes out of peria aeri like a falls . Its looks very beautiful to see this picture and from there water goes through tunnel to reach chinna aeri. The village people will wash their clothes and the childrens learn swimming in the aeri.Even somebody catch fish in that aeri. The main business here is agriculture.It has government library and panchayat tv.The people watch panchayat tv during cricket match with group of friends and chatting with each other.
