It has a famous samay temple which was 100 years old situated along side of a lake. It looks very beautiful and powerful temple.The samay temple is called kaval deviyam .It is said that god karppuswamy in the samay temple is the guard of the village.
In the front of the temple three kilometer of both sides a rope with bell is there.The villagers told karppuswamy will go round the village in night by sitting above the horse and go round the village at that time all bell rings.
The sound will alert all negative energy that god is coming to save the village people
